Hemosiderotic dermatofibroma*
We report a rare clinical case of hemosiderotic dermatofibroma in a 36-year-old female patient. The main dermatoscopic finding was represented by homogeneous blue-gray pigmentation. The aim of this report is to demonstrate the rarity of the lesion and the dermatoscopic importance it assumes by sharing a blue-gray homogeneous pattern with other benign and malignant lesions.

Dermatofibroma is a benign fibrohistiocytic tumor, common and easily diagnosed when classical clinicopathologic features are present. The atrophic variant of dermatofibroma is of uncertain origin. This lesion is characterized clinically by a flat or atrophic and depressible surface. Histopathological features show reduction of the thickness of the dermis and elastic fibers. We report a typical ...
متن کاملSclerotic fibroma-like dermatofibroma: an uncommon distinctive variant of dermatofibroma.
Dermatofibroma (DF) is a common benign cutaneous tumor with many variants based on alterations in the morphology and composition of its diverse elements. One very infrequent type is sclerotic fibroma-like DF (SF-DF). We report 7 new cases of SF-DF. In addition, their main clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features were compared with 14 unselected common DFs and with 3 sclerotic fibrom...
